In Liberia, while the government and its partners are making remarkable progress in the development of the educational sector, the Ministry of Education (MoE) lacked desired institutional capacity in the area of teacher education and educational statistics, notably the lack of a robust Education Management Information System (EMIS). The program has continuously been providing technical assistance to the MoE in establishing a sustainable teacher education training and a robust but very user-friendly EMIS and Integrated Information System, as well as built capacity to gather, analyze, and use data to inform decision making, forecasting, planning, and policy development.
