Filming in West Point, early in the morning.

I had to make a very short documentary showing daily routine of a student living in the West Point Slum in Liberia. We arrived there around 4:45am, with Estevan Padilla that will assist me during the shooting process. We have 3 guys living there with us to take care in case of something wrong happen.

West Point is empty as this time, we are the only people in the main street, a very few lights are on, just to give you a hint of where you are. but when the speaker start to yell some praying, everything start getting alive. I think having a look at the video will be better than thousands words to explain.

A liberian wedding.

I am back in France and I am cold. A few weeks before I left Liberia, my camera was stolen and my computer passed away. A good way for destiny to tell me to go out from this country. I will miss you LIB but I will definitely come back.

I had an assignment to picture a wedding. Since I had no camera, I had to borrow one. It’s a Panasonic GH4 with a 12-35mm lens. I already used this camera for video purpose, it create wonderful slow motion. But it’s my first time I am used it for photography.
I really appreciate the silent mode, absolutely no noise when activated and I didn’t feel any difference about perfs, absolutely perfect for discretion. The big problem of this camera is the numeric noise appearing when you are in low light condition. 1600ISO start to be very bad, but still better than nothing right?

Humans of Liberia.

Humans of my world made a big survey collecting people priorities in a lot of countries of our world. I was assigned to cover the Liberian side. The two priorities for the country are always the same for all ages and all social classes: Education & job opportunities.

Check the Human Of My Work Facebook page to access pictures description and thoughts from people. There is also some similar work on the More than Me instagram page.

By the Beach – Liberia

Sun is there, people are outside enjoying mama Liberia Beaches. People doing acrobatics, and playing football/rugby since we brought a ball. Funny thing is that even if people do not really know the rules, they are acting perfectly.

Liberian Marathon

11-8-2015 was the National Marathon day in Liberia. A event that everybody is waiting for and that monopolise roads in the city of Monrovia.

Here is a sample of pictures of this hot and sweaty day, all captured with a 50mm.
